It is possible to connect to any mail server (usually MTA), even if it is not ManageSieve-enabled or even Sieve-enabled.

The solution is to use a standalone ManageSieve server which you will plug to your existing architecture.

Afterwards, in Avelsieve, you simply use the ManageSieve backend to connect to pysieved.

This way, you can use a ManageSieve interface to store scripts to be consumed by Exim, Dovecot, Postfix etc.
